Department of Statistics, Lady Shri Ram College for Women
| A word from the President
Hellooooo
From contemplating about standing for the post of President to hearing the juniors cheer for me after Moments 2024 my heart is genuinely full from all the love I have received. This department is what makes LSR home for me- be it faculty members, batchmates, juniors or Sunshine. I am beyond grateful to be given this opportunity to work with wonderful teams. Trust me when I say that I was very introverted and scared of new beginnings before college so to any junior who is reading this- DON'T BE AFRAID of anything. Every experience teaches you something and makes you a better version of yourself. I don't want to sound cliche but this department has helped me grow so much as a person, helped me to be more kind, more patient and more humble. Every time I heard "Statistics Department is so cool" my heart brimmed with pride. I know my presidency wont be perfect but I hope my contributions made some significant impact on the Department, even if the p-value was justtt below 0.05 :p
Beyond grateful to be given this chance. Thank you to the entire student body for giving me this opportunity. Even when I graduate feel free to talk to me about anything, anytime.
With Love
Nishtha Roy

Hello Everyone,
As my tenure as Treasurer at the Department of Statistics draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey we've embarked on together. It has been a privilege to work alongside such a dedicated team and to have the unwavering support of our esteemed faculty.
Throughout my time here, the Department of Statistics has truly become my heart and my home within the walls of LSR. From the moment I stepped into this role, I was welcomed with warmth and openness by everyone I encountered. I've come to realize that our student body is truly the backbone of our department. Together, we've reached milestones and scaled new heights with each successful event, each one bringing us closer to sucess.
As I bid farewell to this chapter of my life, I am filled with gratitude for the memories we've created, the achievements we've celebrated, and the invaluable lessons learned.LSR has truly brought out the magic within us all, and I am grateful for the opportunities it has provided.
Lastly, but certainly not least, I extend my deepest gratitude to Nishtha and Suhana of the union, who stood steadfastly by my side, as well as to the tireless department teams who navigated endless revisions with grace and consistently delivered flawless execution.

| A word from the General Secretary
As my tenure as the General Secretary of the Statistics Department draws to a close, I find myself filled with a multitude of emotions – gratitude, pride, and a touch of melancholy.
The day of the elections still stays afresh in my mind, I had a dramtics performance and from there I ran to the formal confrontation with a weird feeling in my stomach. That day, looking at my fellow contenders, even though we were all contesting for the same position, there was a sense of sisterhood, a shared understanding of the challenges and rewards that awaited us. We gave each other a silent vote of confidence, and little did we know, we were about to embark on an incredible journey together.
This past year has been a journey full of learning and growth. Leading this exceptional department filled with such dedication, zeal, and a shared passion has been a privilege beyond measure. The amazing team I worked with has taught me the importance of effective communication and collaboration. It’s because of them I can proudly say that all the events taken up by the department were a success, especially, Moments 2024. We set a goal to make the event bigger and better than ever, and seeing it come to life was truly a collaborative triumph.
The department's success is a testament to the collective spirit of every student. To each and every member of the department, from the third years, our guiding lights to the enthusiastic first years, I extend my deepest gratitude. Thank you for your tireless efforts, and for creating a truly special work environment where every voice mattered.
A special thanks goes out to Nishtha, Sejal, and our distinguished professors. Your unwavering support and guidance made all the difference. It's been an absolute privilege working alongside such an amazing team.
As I depart, I leave with a heart full of appreciation and a deep sense of pride for all that we have for what we've built together. The Statistics Department will always hold a special place in my heart, and I have no doubt that it will continue to thrive under new leadership.
With warmest regards,
suhana
